The Pyramid Scare….

They went to explore the Egyptian pyramids and only once they stood before it, did they truly realise what ‘Magnificience’ was…dumbstruck by the overwhelming presence, they wondered how were they ever going to begin…it seemed too huge to even decide the starting point of their work. But it was only 3 pm and there was still time for the day to end.

Then some strange happenings followed…suddenly the sun went down and it was pitch dark everywhere…the whole place seemed engulfed in a deluge of black night cast out of nowhere….was this an illusion?,  they were bewildered….but then there were six of them and yet nobody could see the other….a hard wind began fiercely blowing carrying a weird howl with it…a cold chill ran down their spine….suddenly there was a cyclone of dust and each one found themselves getting helplessly caught into it…separately…alone…gasping for air, they had drawn in silts into their mouths and nostrils and each one was fist-fighting into the sandstorm but powerlessly incapable in their resistance, to find themselves being only further sucked away into the whirlwind….in panic, they were trying to shout out each other’s name…but then the voices couldn’t be heard…for the sounds behind the words that their lips wanted to call out, wouldn’t come out of their throats and seemed to had died…so petrified were they ….it seemed like the beginning of a holocaust…what had they let themselves into by taking up the challenge of this research?…reaching back home safe and sound, looked already doubtful…as such they had heard a lot of mysterious, bizzare things about the pyramids and the mummies in there….it was said that the sleeping mummies woke up during the nights and rarely let anyone go back alive…Holy shit!!! What were they going to do now??? How were they ever going to get out of that goddamn place???

The body had become taut with jitters, as the tension mounted and suddenly he awoke, perspiring and terrified…still in a state of shock and disbelief that it was only a dream.

(A fictional post inspired by a Pyramid research video I came across on Facebook)
